What is Comparative Politics

Comparative Politics seems to essentially be how the world works in reference to how the political world runs.  Being able to make an informed decision about how countries govern their people, and how they will govern their people based on political theories of how they have governed their people.  In this sense using models allows comparative politicians the unique ability to simplify the world into a single manageable whole.  Anomalies arise and the models must be changed, I think that is simply the evolution of the study, the evolution of the larger discipline of Political Science with which Comparative Politics is a subset of.
